CNC 5-Axis Machinist (Weekend Shift)
Our client is seeking a CNC 5-Axis Machinist (Weekend Shift) to support precision machining operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced in 5-axis machine setup and operation, and committed to producing quality parts while helping ensure production schedules and customer deadlines are met.
This role is on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5AM-5:30PM.
CNC 5-Axis Machinist Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC 5-axis milling machines, including multi-pallet machining systems, to support efficient production.
- Ensure all machine setups and completed parts meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect machined components against engineering drawings and blueprints to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality and accuracy of parts produced on assigned 5-axis milling equipment.
- Prioritize and organize production work to help meet customer delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with team members to support workflow, quality, and production objectives.
CNC 5-Axis Machinist Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience setting up CNC 5-axis milling machines.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented approach.
- Must provide and maintain personal precision measuring tools.
- Experience working with horizontal machining cells is preferred.
- Familiarity with Siemens Celos controllers is a plus.
- Previous lead or team leadership experience is a plus.
- Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds or more.
Salary: $32-$40/hr + Bonus. (DOE)
