Technical Lead
Our client is seeking a Technical Lead to guide a modern front-end build within a structured sprint framework. This role will blend technical leadership, hands-on development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver a scalable, accessible, and high-quality user experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable driving technical decisions, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring delivery excellence across discovery, development, and handoff phases.

This role is fully remote.

Technical Lead Responsibilities

• Lead an initial discovery and environment setup phase to establish architecture, workflows, and development standards.
• Define and oversee implementation of a reusable component library and front-end design system.
• Provide technical direction for front-end development using Next.js and a component-driven UI approach.
• Guide CMS integration by translating headless content models into front-end data mappings and components.
• Drive quality practices, including visual QA, functional QA, accessibility validation, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Coordinate sprint execution, ensuring clear technical documentation, predictable delivery, and smooth handoffs.
• Oversee implementation of motion and interactive behaviors that enhance usability and experience.
• Prepare and support transition activities, including repository management and integration readiness.

Technical Lead Qualifications

• Strong front-end development expertise, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Next.js.
• Experience designing and scaling component-based architectures and UI libraries.
• Proven ability to lead technical discovery, define standards, and establish development workflows.
• Experience integrating headless CMS platforms and mapping content/data models to UI components.
• Solid understanding of accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
• Experience with UI frameworks or design systems such as Chakra UI or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead QA and visual validation efforts across browsers and devices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across design, product, and engineering partners.
• Experience producing technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, TDDs, and handoff materials.
• Comfortable operating in sprint-based delivery environments with multiple parallel workstreams.

Compensation: $60-$75/hr.(DOE)
