Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead regulatory and mandate-driven initiatives within a highly regulated healthcare environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager who can quickly establish trust, bring structure and focus from day one, and confidently leverage project schedules to anticipate risks and drive timely delivery. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at the intersection of healthcare operations and government processes while guiding cross-functional teams through complex, deadline-driven work.
This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or North Dakota.
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, regulatory or mandate-driven projects, including initiatives related to healthcare risk management and compliance.
- Establish clear project direction, structure, and momentum from project kickoff, rapidly building credibility and trust with stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project schedules to anticipate dependencies, risks, and delivery impacts, using them as a primary execution and communication tool.
- Partner closely with business, technical, and operational leaders to align scope, priorities, and timelines with external deadlines and regulatory expectations.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to member risk, compliance obligations, resource constraints, and evolving requirements.
- Provide clear, concise status reporting and recommendations to leadership, enabling informed decision-making in fast-moving environments.
Project Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field, with 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience.
- Proven experience managing projects within government-regulated healthcare environments, with exposure to healthcare risk, compliance, or regulatory initiatives strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success delivering work tied to external, non-negotiable deadlines, such as regulatory mandates, government reporting, or oversight requirements.
- Strong command of project scheduling tools and techniques, with the ability to use schedules proactively to forecast issues and guide teams.
- Ability to quickly establish authority and trust, provide clarity, and bring focus to teams navigating ambiguity or shifting priorities.
- Solid foundation in project management best practices, including scope control, risk management, stakeholder communication, and full lifecycle delivery.
- PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
