Technical Accessories Designer (Apparel)
Our client is seeking a Technical Accessories Designer (Apparel) to support a global women’s accessories design team on a focused bag design initiative. This role will partner closely with an existing designer dedicated to bags, contributing strong technical expertise in bag construction while translating creative concepts into detailed, production-ready outputs. The position emphasizes execution, problem-solving, and technical design over concept ownership.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Technical Accessories Designer (Apparel) Responsibilities

• Translate existing design concepts into detailed technical solutions, including comprehensive tech packs and construction specifications.
• Apply deep knowledge of bag construction to support the development of backpacks, totes, duffels, and related accessories.
• Collaborate closely with a senior bag designer to refine materials, structure, and functionality throughout the development process.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation to support sampling, revisions, and production readiness.
• Evaluate construction methods and materials to ensure durability, performance, and manufacturability.
• Support iterative design updates based on feedback from cross-functional partners and development teams.
• Contribute technical insights that improve consistency, efficiency, and execution across bag projects.

Technical Accessories Designer (Apparel) Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience designing and developing bags, preferably within fashion, performance, or sport-inspired environments.
• Strong technical expertise in bag construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience producing detailed tech packs and technical design documentation.
• Portfolio required, demonstrating technical design work, bag construction knowledge, and development process involvement.
• Ability to execute and operationalize others’ creative ideas with precision and attention to detail.
• Experience using 3D modeling tools for product development or visualization is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for rapid design or material representation is a plus.
• Experience within large, fast-paced consumer or performance brands is preferred but not required.

Compensation: Up to $56.67/hr.
