Senior Vice President of Finance
Our client is seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Vice President of Finance to lead a large-scale financial organization within a complex healthcare payer environment. This executive will partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership to guide financial strategy, regulatory alignment, and operational performance across a highly regulated healthcare system. The ideal candidate brings deep experience supporting government-sponsored healthcare programs, strong executive presence, and the ability to build high-performing teams while guiding complex financial decision-making.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
Senior Vice President, Finance Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership across enterprise finance functions including accounting, financial planning and analysis, actuarial collaboration, financial reporting, and enterprise financial operations.
- Shape long-term financial strategy and organizational planning aligned with programs serving government-funded healthcare populations.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Advise executive leadership on financial strategy, investment priorities, and market trends impacting healthcare payer organizations.
- Build and lead high-performing finance teams while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Senior Vice President, Finance Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility for financial strategy and organizational performance.
- At least 5+ years of leadership experience within a healthcare payer or managed care organization, supporting government-sponsored programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.
- Strong expertise across multiple finance disciplines including financial planning, accounting, actuarial partnership, risk-based revenue models, and regulatory reporting.
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and building scalable finance organizations within complex, highly regulated healthcare environments.
- Exceptional executive communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
Salary: $259K-$316K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
