Senior Cost Accountant
Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to support financial analysis and cost optimization within a complex manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with operations and finance teams to analyze production costs, maintain accurate inventory valuation, and deliver insights that support operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound cost accounting knowledge, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

This role is a hybrid model in Vancouver, Washington.

Senior Cost Accountant Responsibilities

• Analyze operational and production-related costs to identify efficiency opportunities and support informed business decisions.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting close activities, including variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Maintain cost accounting systems and ensure accurate general ledger activity related to operational and inventory transactions.
• Monitor inventory valuation, cost variances, and related financial data to support reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis initiatives.

Senior Cost Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cost accounting, operational accounting, or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting methodologies.
• Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or production-based organizations preferred.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary: $105K-$117K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
