Sales Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Specialist to support internal sales teams and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new and renewing member groups. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and excels at communicating complex information clearly. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a service-first mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho.

Sales Specialist Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding and renewal activities for member groups, ensuring accurate and timely processing of required documentation.
  • Partner closely with internal sales and service teams to provide administrative and operational support throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, assessing needs and delivering accurate, timely responses.
  • Review, verify, and process customer documentation, following up to obtain missing or incomplete information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, documenting interactions and updates within internal systems.
  • Manage daily workflows including email, calls, and production queues, prioritizing tasks to meet service level expectations.
  • Communicate benefit information, eligibility guidelines, and general policy details to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Identify issues or discrepancies and take appropriate steps to resolve them in alignment with established procedures.
  • Generate written correspondence and fulfill document requests as needed.
  • Support continuous process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.

Sales Specialist Qualifications

  • 1+ year of customer service, sales support, or administrative experience, ideally within health insurance or a brokerage environment.
  • Working knowledge of health insurance concepts, including benefits, eligibility, and related processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional and courteous customer interaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures and communicate them effectively.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with CRM systems or tracking tools for documenting customer interactions is preferred.
  • Exposure to AI tools or technology to improve efficiency and productivity is a plus.

Compensation: $17.75-$21/hr. (DOE)
