Project Coordinator (Sample & Materials)
Our client is seeking a Sample & Materials Project Coordinator to support a time-bound initiative focused on coordinating product samples and material shipments across multiple development and testing workstreams. This role plays a critical operational role in ensuring samples are accurately received, organized, tracked, and distributed while supporting evolving processes within product and material development teams.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Project Coordinator Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day sample and shipment coordination activities across multiple product and testing categories, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
- Receive, open, sort, and distribute incoming shipment boxes multiple times per day in alignment with established location guidelines and processes.
- Organize and maintain holding systems for samples designated for development, marketing, design, and merchandising partners.
- Track, investigate, and resolve missing, delayed, or misrouted shipments by coordinating with internal shipping and receiving teams.
- Build, refine, and eventually oversee a standardized sample management process to support multiple categories on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain clear documentation and tracking of sample movement, locations, and handoffs to ensure visibility and accountability.
- Support entry-level product development tasks over time, while maintaining daily sample coordination as the top operational priority.
- Communicate proactively with cross-functional partners to confirm needs, clarify processes, and ensure smooth execution.
Project Coordinator Qualifications
- Prior experience in a product coordination, project coordination, or operational support role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented workflows with consistency and follow-through.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to explain and apply structured processes.
- Clear and confident communication skills, including information-seeking, tracking, and status updates.
- Proven ability to take direction, execute tasks independently, and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Interest in learning product development processes and contributing to cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Experience working in a corporate or matrixed environment is a plus.
- Passion for sneakers or familiarity with footwear design concepts is a strong advantage.
Compensation: Up to $46.67/hr. (DOE)
