Pathology Lab Aide
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pathology Lab Aide who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate brings strong organization, clear communication, and a readiness to learn hands-on laboratory operations. This role is perfect for someone who is precise, collaborative, and eager to support critical diagnostic workflows.
This role is onsite in Boston, Massachusetts.
Pathology Lab Aide Responsibilities
- Receive, log, label, and transport clinical specimens with accuracy and care.
- Assist with accessioning, documentation verification, and preparation of materials for grossing.
- Maintain cleanliness, disinfect equipment, and follow strict safety and infection-control protocols.
- Restock reagents, slides, fixatives, and other consumables while monitoring inventory levels.
- Support technologists and pathologist assistants with routine pre-analytical and laboratory workflow tasks.
Pathology Lab Aide Qualifications
- High school student with work authorization or graduate enrolled in/considering a science-related program.
- Previous exposure to a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred.
- Strong hand dexterity for working with small instruments and varied medical equipment.
- Clear communication skills and professionalism when interacting with staff.
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently with direction.
