Merchandising Specialist
Our client is seeking a Merchandising Specialist to support merchandising initiatives by developing consumer-focused assortments, optimizing product placement, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver successful marketplace strategies. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and enjoys partnering with product, sales, and merchandising teams to bring the right products to the right customers.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Merchandising Specialist Responsibilities

• Develop and execute assortment plans that align with consumer insights, marketplace trends, and business objectives.
• Partner with product, merchandising, and sales teams to support channel-level merchandising strategies and recommend product assortments for specific accounts.
• Assist with product allocation activities to help ensure the appropriate products are available across designated channels.
• Help optimize product placement and assortment segmentation to support retail execution and profitable business outcomes.
• Contribute to Go-to-Market activities by coordinating assortment plans and helping resolve issues related to product flow, pricing, and distribution.
• Monitor marketplace trends and consumer needs to support informed merchandising decisions.
• Present merchandising updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders with confidence and professionalism.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze merchandising data, track assortment performance, and support planning activities.

Merchandising Specialist Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising or a closely related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
• Excellent understanding of marketplace trends and consumer-focused merchandising principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and merchandising support.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable presenting information and participating in discussions with internal business partners.
• Experience with assortment visualization (AV), in-store retail merchandising, or supporting retail merchandising initiatives is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting a global consumer products or retail organization is a plus.

Compensation: Up to $38/hr. (DOE)
