Medical AR Specialist (Part-Time)
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Medical AR Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with precision, accountability, and the ability to manage complex financial data. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can work independently while maintaining clear communication and collaboration across teams.

This role is a part-time role working remotely in Vancouver, Washington. Applicants must reside in the Vancouver, Washington area.

Due to the nature of this role and immediate business needs, we are only considering candidates currently residing in Vancouver, Washington and surrounding area. Applicants outside of this area will not be considered.

Medical AR Specialist Responsibilities

• Accurately post and reconcile insurance payments, adjustments, and rejections from various payors.
• Process electronic remittance files (EOBs/835s) and ensure timely and accurate payment application.
• Research and resolve credit balances, overpayments, and unposted cash discrepancies.
• Prepare and manage deposits while maintaining strict adherence to financial controls and security procedures.
• Support accounts receivable reconciliation and respond to internal or external payment-related inquiries.

Medical AR Specialist Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or insurance AR within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with Epic and strong knowledge of insurance payment processes and guidelines.
• Experience with EOBs/835s, payer portals, and bank lockbox processes.
• Strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Compensation: $25/hr. (DOE)
