HR Support Administrator
Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Support Administrator to provide front-line administrative and customer service support within a busy HR environment. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, supervisors, and internal partners, requiring a high level of confidentiality, strong judgment, and the ability to work independently while managing frequent interactions and competing priorities.
The role is based onsite in Vancouver, Washington. Applicants should expect to split their time between Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon during the workweek.
HR Support Administrator Responsibilities
- Serve as a front-desk and primary point of contact, professionally assisting employees, applicants, and internal partners via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including timekeeping, attendance, staffing, and onboarding documentation.
- Support time and payroll processes by assisting employees with timecard questions, tracking attendance, and escalating discrepancies as needed.
- Coordinate administrative aspects of staffing and hiring activities, including scheduling interviews, processing requests, and tracking documentation.
- Assist with new hire onboarding activities, including preparing packets, reviewing documents for completeness, and coordinating first-day requirements.
- Compile, update, and format reports and spreadsheets to support workforce planning and operational needs.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure timely communication and coordination of daily activities.
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, filing, copying, distributing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
- Follow established procedures while exercising sound judgment in situations that require discretion and independent decision-making.
HR Support Administrator Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in an office, administrative, or people-facing environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining highly responsive and customer focused.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to accurately follow established processes.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Interest in or exposure to Human Resources functions is preferred.
- Experience with timekeeping, HR systems, or data entry tools is a plus, including Kronos or UKG.
- Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly and apply them accurately.
Compensation: $23.25–$25/hr. (DOE)
