Customer Retention Specialist
This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who excels at building trust, listening deeply, and turning customer feedback into meaningful retention outcomes. The successful candidate combines strong communication and negotiation skills with sound judgment, empathy, and a data-informed mindset to proactively address customer needs and strengthen long-term loyalty. Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing sensitive conversations, and collaborating cross-functionally is essential.
This role is a hybrid model in Westminster, Colorado.
Customer Retention Specialist Responsibilities
- Proactively engage customers to understand renewal risks and address concerns before churn occurs
- Own customer issues end-to-end, resolving challenges independently while minimizing escalations
- Negotiate solutions and adoption plans that remove barriers and strengthen customer commitment
- Analyze customer data and interaction trends to inform retention strategies and improvements
- Document interactions and collaborate with internal partners to deliver a seamless customer experience
Customer Retention Specialist Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in customer service, retention, or consultative sales environments
- Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written); Portuguese is a strong plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first, empathetic approach
- Proven ability to problem-solve, negotiate effectively, and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and comfort learning new tools quickly
Compensation: $22-$24/hr. (DOE)
