Senior Accountant
Our Central Oregon client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of core accounting functions while partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong judgment, a continuous-improvement mindset, and a strong leader who enjoys mentoring others.

This role is a hybrid model working 3 days in-office near Bend, Oregon.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Lead accurate and timely month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger management, and financial analysis.
• Support project accounting, including WIP, revenue, costs, job costing, budgeting, and forecasting for long-term projects.
• Manage multi-entity and intercompany accounting while investigating discrepancies and resolving unusual or complex transactions.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including supporting a major ERP implementation and improving close and reporting processes.
• Review and mentor accounting staff while supporting internal controls, audits, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, field services, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with WIP, project accounting, revenue recognition, and percentage-of-completion experience preferred.
• Proven ability to review accounting work, mentor or guide staff, communicate financial information clearly, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills; ERP implementation experience and financial reporting tools such as OneStream or Hyperion is a plus.

Salary: $90K-$110K/year. (DOE)
