Graphic Designer
Our client is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to create polished, engaging work across both print and digital channels. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, self-sufficient designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can move confidently between multiple projects and industries, and brings strong design fundamentals and production expertise to both original concepts and repurposed creative.
This role is a hybrid model in Minnetonka, Minnesota or Scottsdale, Arizona.
Graphic Designer Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality print and digital creative, including marketing collateral, direct mail, promotional materials, digital assets, displays, advertising, and other customer-facing communications.
- Develop original creative concepts as well as adapt, refresh, and repurpose existing artwork for new formats, audiences, campaigns, and business needs.
- Manage multiple concurrent design requests, often involving smaller, quick-turn projects, while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Translate creative briefs and stakeholder requests into visually compelling solutions that demonstrate strong layout, typography, composition, illustration, and overall design principles.
- Maintain brand consistency while exercising sound creative judgment and working independently with minimal oversight.
- Create sophisticated layouts and production-ready artwork using Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Prepare files for both digital distribution and commercial print production, ensuring accuracy, proper specifications, and readiness for external vendors and production partners.
- Collaborate with marketing teams, project stakeholders, fellow creatives, and external partners to incorporate feedback and efficiently move projects through completion.
- Track assignments, priorities, revisions, and deadlines through project management systems such as Wrike while managing a high volume of requests.
- Maintain organized creative files, templates, reusable assets, and project archives to support efficient and consistent creative execution.
Graphic Designer Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional graphic design experience in an agency, design firm, in-house creative team, or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional command of core design principles, including layout, typography, composition, visual hierarchy, branding, and polished creative execution across print and digital work.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, with strong experience in print layouts, vector graphics, illustration, and image manipulation.
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and produce high-quality creative with minimal direction or oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly and effectively while balancing multiple projects, shifting priorities, revisions, and short turnaround times.
- Experience developing both original creative and adapting existing artwork for different formats, channels, campaigns, and audiences.
- Agency or multi-client experience is highly valued, particularly experience designing across multiple industries, brands, or types of creative work.
- Strong print-production knowledge, including experience preparing press-ready artwork and working with commercial printing and production specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the flexibility to respond constructively to feedback and changing business needs.
- Experience with animation, motion graphics, or video-based creative is a significant plus; familiarity with Wrike or similar project management platforms is also beneficial.
