BIM Modeler 3
Our client is seeking a BIM Modeler 3 to support the development and coordination of detailed building information models for complex, large-scale construction projects. This position is ideal for a hands-on BIM professional with strong Revit and/or Navisworks experience who can translate project direction into accurate design documents, collaborate across project teams, and take on increasing responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
This role is on-site in Portland, Gresham, Albany, Redmond, Oregon and Renton, Washington.
BIM Modeler 3 Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings using Revit in accordance with established project and BIM standards.
- Perform hands-on Revit modeling, including creating and modifying views, families, sheets, schedules, filters, worksets, and other model components.
- Support 3D coordination efforts using Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, and related tools to identify conflicts and coordinate designs with other trades.
- Translate marked-up drawings, verbal instructions, and general project direction into accurate models and construction documents.
- Coordinate with project and field teams to produce dimensioned drawings supporting installation, layout, and prefabrication activities.
- Assist with or provide direction to small BIM teams and external resources while helping maintain project schedules and modeling deliverables.
- Support model-based field layout activities, including verification of dimensions and elevations using applicable surveying and modeling technologies.
- Assist with laser scanning efforts and coordinate the integration of scan data into 3D project models.
- Organize, maintain, transmit, and archive electronic models, drawings, and supporting project documentation according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to troubleshoot modeling challenges and continuously improve BIM workflows and project execution.
BIM Modeler 3 Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit, including demonstrated proficiency performing detailed modeling as a significant part of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Experience with Autodesk Navisworks and a solid understanding of 3D coordination, model review, and multidisciplinary construction workflows.
- Proficiency with relevant BIM and design technologies, which may include AutoCAD, eVolve, Autodesk Design Review, and related modeling applications.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, markups, specifications, and project direction and translate them into accurate BIM deliverables.
- Experience supporting complex commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or similarly large-scale construction projects; data center experience is preferred.
- Understanding of Revit worksharing, worksets, model organization, document management, and electronic project collaboration.
- Experience working with field teams and supporting model-based layout, prefabrication, laser scanning, or Total Station activities is preferred.
- Ability to lead or coordinate small groups of BIM professionals or external resources while effectively managing assigned priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and BIM experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong overall computer skills.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week at one of the organization’s designated locations in Oregon or Washington.
Salary: $70K-$90K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
