Senior HR Business Partner
Our client is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and provide thoughtful, practical guidance across a range of people and organizational matters. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and confident HR professional who can navigate complex employee and labor relations issues, build strong relationships, and balance strategic priorities with hands-on support in a dynamic environment.

This role is fully remote. Applicants located around the Portland Oregon metro area are preferred but fully remote applicants will be considered. PST working hours are required.

Senior HR Business Partner Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders across the organization to align HR strategies, programs, and solutions with business and workforce priorities.
  • Manage complex labor and employee relations matters, including grievances, union meetings, contract interpretation, potential contract violations, and written responses.
  • Advise leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, change management, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, employee concerns, HR policies, and other sensitive workplace matters while promoting consistent practices.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and cross-functional partners on broader initiatives, serving as a resource and mentor when needed.

Senior HR Business Partner Qualifications

  • Approximately 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience as an HR Business Partner supporting leaders in a complex organization.
  • Strong hands-on labor and union relations experience, including grievance management, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, and participation in union-related discussions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Healthcare labor relations experience preferred; strong union and grievance experience from other industries will also be considered.
  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to advise senior leaders on complex employee, labor, and organizational matters.

Compensation: $40-$45/hr. (DOE)
