Technical Lead – Front End
Our client is seeking a Technical Lead – Front End to lead the hands-on development of a high-profile digital experience within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will work closely with design, product, content, and engineering partners to rapidly turn ambitious concepts into polished, production-ready experiences. The ideal candidate combines deep front-end engineering expertise with strong technical leadership and current experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping and delivery.

This role is fully remote.

Technical Lead – Front End Responsibilities

• Lead the front-end technical execution of a large-scale website experience from early prototyping through production launch.
• Establish the technical approach, development framework, and design-to-code workflow in partnership with design and engineering stakeholders.
• Build rapid, functional prototypes to evaluate technical feasibility and inform design decisions before concepts move into full production.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including Codex and ChatGPT, to accelerate development, experimentation, troubleshooting, and iteration.
• Develop and enhance reusable front-end components within an established design system, determining when existing components can be leveraged, extended, or newly created.
• Collaborate closely with designers and creative technology partners in an iterative development environment where requirements and solutions evolve throughout the build.
• Integrate new experiences into an existing production ecosystem while maintaining responsive behavior, component consistency, accessibility, performance, and overall code quality.
• Provide technical guidance on integrations, content management dependencies, implementation sequencing, and other requirements that could impact launch readiness.
• Participate actively in daily team discussions and recurring work reviews, providing clear technical recommendations and making timely engineering decisions.
• Balance the efficiency of AI-enabled development with traditional engineering practices to ensure solutions remain scalable, maintainable, and production-ready.

Technical Lead – Front End Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience in front-end development, including significant hands-on responsibility for modern, production-scale web experiences.
• Demonstrated experience using Codex as part of an active software development workflow.
• Strong proficiency with modern front-end technologies, component-based development, responsive implementation, and web performance best practices.
• Experience developing, extending, and maintaining reusable components within established design systems.
• Proven ability to translate sophisticated design concepts into high-quality, scalable, and production-ready front-end experiences.
• Experience working in rapid prototyping or iterative development environments where engineering and design progress concurrently.
• Strong understanding of technical architecture, integrations, content management systems, and dependencies associated with modern web platforms.
• Ability to operate effectively within a senior, multidisciplinary team and collaborate directly with product, design, content, creative, and engineering stakeholders.
• Strong technical judgment with the ability to make, communicate, and defend engineering decisions within accelerated timelines.

Compensation: $60-$75/hr. (DOE)
