Quality Engineer
Our client is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to ensure software applications and business systems meet established quality standards through comprehensive testing and continuous process improvement. This individual will play a key role in validating system functionality, developing test strategies, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality technology solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role is hybrid and requires candidates to be within driving distance for occasional on-site collaboration.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead and execute manual software testing activities to validate application functionality, quality, and compliance with business and technical requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing documentation to support new development, enhancements, and system changes.
• Partner closely with developers, business stakeholders, and project teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to identify issues early and ensure successful solution delivery.
• Document, track, and communicate software defects while verifying issue resolution through regression and validation testing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and overall software delivery practices.
• Support user acceptance testing efforts and provide quality guidance during project planning, implementation, and release activities.
• Collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure software solutions align with organizational objectives and user expectations.

Quality Engineer Qualifications

• Experience performing manual software testing in an enterprise application environment.
• Proven ability to develop, execute, and maintain software test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar application lifecycle management and issue tracking tools is preferred.
• Experience supporting document management, document generation, or enterprise content management platforms is a plus.
• Experience with platforms such as OnBase, K2, or xPressions is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools is preferred.
