Level III Electronics Technician
Our client is seeking a skilled Level III Electronics Technician to support large-scale low-voltage and structured cabling projects in fast-paced commercial environments. This role is ideal for a dependable, self-sufficient technician who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, can work independently with minimal oversight, and thrives in overnight project-based assignments. Candidates should be comfortable handling a variety of installation, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and professionalism.
This role will work an overnight schedule on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Level III Electronics Technician Responsibilities
- Perform Cat5e/Cat6 cable installation, routing, termination, labeling, and testing for structured cabling projects.
- Support wireless infrastructure deployments, including access point installations and related low-voltage hardware.
- Install and assist with RFID, IoT, and other connected technology devices within commercial environments.
- Conduct IT rack cleanup, cable management, infrastructure organization, and equipment troubleshooting activities.
- Document completed work accurately through testing records, labeling verification, and photo closeout procedures.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues while ensuring installations meet quality and project standards.
- Work efficiently during overnight shifts while maintaining productivity, safety, and reliability on-site.
- Collaborate with project leads and field teams to support project completion timelines and operational goals.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while following established installation and safety procedures.
- Support ongoing project assignments that may vary in duration and scheduling requirements.
Level III Electronics Technician Qualifications
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, or telecommunications environments.
- Strong experience with Cat5e/Cat6 cable pulls, terminations, testing, and labeling.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards, cable management best practices, and installation procedures.
- Experience supporting wireless access point deployments and low-voltage device installations.
- Ability to troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues independently.
- Comfortable working overnight schedules and extended hours, including overtime as needed.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation, project scopes, and installation requirements.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift equipment, work in active construction or technical environments, and remain on feet for extended periods.
