Dayforce HRIS Administrator
Our client is seeking a highly collaborative and solutions-oriented Dayforce HRIS Administrator to drive optimization and transformation across their HR technology landscape. This individual will serve as a key bridge between business and technical teams, bringing curiosity, analytical thinking, and a hands-on approach to improving workflows and enhancing the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate thrives in evolving environments and is motivated to uncover opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
This role will begin in a hybrid capacity based in the Portland, OR or Kent, WA area, with a transition to primarily remote work following onboarding and occasional in-office visits as needed.
Dayforce HRIS Administrator Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment, reconfiguration, and optimization of the Dayforce platform to support the full employee lifecycle across HR, Payroll, IT, and Talent Acquisition.
- Serve as the primary system expert, managing configuration, workflows, security, and functionality while identifying and resolving system inefficiencies.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable HRIS solutions.
- Design and enhance workflows, automate manual processes, and troubleshoot system issues to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Maintain data integrity and develop reporting and dashboards that provide actionable insights for leadership and HR teams.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and ongoing support to empower users and improve system adoption.
- Support system releases, integrations, and testing efforts to ensure stability and performance of the HRIS environment.
- Identify gaps in current system usage and uncover opportunities to better leverage platform capabilities.
- Contribute to broader HR transformation initiatives by aligning system capabilities with evolving business needs.
Dayforce HRIS Administrator Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS administration, with strong preference for Dayforce experience or similar platforms such as Workday.
- Proven experience supporting HR, Payroll, and Benefits systems with hands-on configuration and workflow management.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating requirements into system solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging data to drive decision-making.
- Experience optimizing HRIS platforms, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvements.
- Familiarity with system integrations (e.g., API, SFTP) and reporting/analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in fast-paced, evolving, or transformation-focused environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- Dayforce certifications or experience leading HRIS optimization initiatives are a plus.
