UAT Coordinator
Our client is seeking a UAT Coordinator to support large-scale digital initiatives by driving user acceptance testing, coordinating cross-functional validation efforts, and ensuring high-quality releases. This role blends functional testing, defect management, automation support, and stakeholder collaboration within a fast-paced Agile environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically fluent, and comfortable navigating complex business workflows.
This role is fully remote.
UAT Coordinator Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing activities across multiple business and functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Translate business and system requirements into comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and validation strategies.
- Oversee defect identification, documentation, prioritization, and resolution in partnership with development and project teams.
- Develop, maintain, and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end test plans aligned with project objectives and risks.
- Drive test data preparation, validation processes, and environment readiness for UAT cycles.
- Monitor testing progress, communicate status, and escalate risks or blockers impacting release timelines.
- Facilitate defect triage sessions and prioritize testing efforts based on business impact and risk exposure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing scope, success criteria, and key performance indicators.
- Support automation initiatives, including reviewing and executing automated test cases where applicable.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and quality practices.
- Provide coordination and support during go-live and post-implementation validation activities.
- Coach and guide business test participants to ensure consistent testing standards and execution quality.
UAT Coordinator Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance workflows and related business processes.
- Experience working with Facets and familiarity with payer or claims-based systems.
- Proven ability to derive test cases and scripts from business requirements and functional documentation.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading UAT efforts within Agile delivery models.
- Ability to manage defect lifecycles, including documentation, communication, and validation of fixes.
- Experience preparing and validating test data for functional and regression testing.
- Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (Rally preferred).
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium.
- General programming or scripting experience (Java or similar languages preferred).
- Familiarity with version control practices and tools such as Git.
- Ability to prioritize testing activities using risk-based methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and within collaborative team environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience in business systems, UAT coordination, or quality analysis roles.
