JD Edwards Software Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced JD Edwards Software Engineer to support and evolve their global enterprise application ecosystem, with a strong focus on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1). This senior-level role blends hands-on ERP development with modern software engineering practices to deliver scalable, reliable solutions across core business functions. The position partners closely with cross-functional and global teams to translate business needs into technical capabilities, enhance system performance, and support ongoing modernization initiatives.
This role is a hybrid model in Fairview, Oregon.
JD Edwards Software Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead and execute ERP development efforts following established SDLC, change control, and release management processes.
- Architect, enhance, and integrate solutions within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne while safeguarding system performance and stability.
- Design, build, and maintain JDE components such as UBEs, BSFNs, Orchestrations, and custom reporting tools.
- Support and improve integrations between ERP and connected systems using Boomi or comparable middleware platforms.
- Conduct data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting using Oracle Database, SQL, and related technologies.
- Ensure technical documentation, governance standards, and version control practices are consistently followed.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test scripts, with a strong preference for leveraging automated testing tools.
- Collaborate with offshore development resources to review technical designs, assess code quality, resolve issues, and prepare for deployment activities.
- Contribute to enterprise modernization efforts, including automation, analytics, and continuous improvement of ERP workflows.
- Monitor ERP and integration platform performance, identify trends, and recommend enhancements to improve scalability and efficiency.
JD Edwards Software Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of technical experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
- Working knowledge of JDE World.
- Advanced SQL and Oracle Database expertise, including data analysis and performance troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Boomi or similar integration middleware.
- Experience using Power BI or comparable analytics/reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, source control systems, and structured change management processes.
- Ability to interpret, design, and occasionally develop JD Edwards components, including BSFNs, UBEs, and Orchestrations.
- Demonstrated experience working with offshore or distributed development teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with key JDE functional modules such as Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution.
- Experience implementing or supporting governance and change control frameworks.
- Background mentoring or supporting junior developers remotely.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (such as Azure) and experience integrating cloud capabilities with ERP environments.
Salary: $110K-$135K/year. (DOE)
