Technical Writer
Our client is seeking a Technical Writer to create clear, well-structured documentation that translates complex technical concepts into accessible, user-friendly materials. This role partners closely with technical and cross-functional stakeholders to produce accurate, consistent documentation that supports systems, software, and operational processes while aligning with internal standards and governance.

This role is fully remote.

Technical Writer Responsibilities

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation for technical audiences.
• Develop, update, and maintain a wide range of documentation, including technical specifications, diagrams, FAQs, and knowledge base content.
• Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and alignment with internal standards and version control practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand system functionality, workflows, and architectural designs.
• Create and maintain technical diagrams and architecture visuals using appropriate modeling and documentation tools.
• Review, edit, and update existing documentation to reflect system changes, enhancements, or process updates.
• Organize and manage documentation repositories using structured, version-controlled platforms.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify technical details.

Technical Writer Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably supporting IT, software, or systems-based environments.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and technical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and update technical specifications and system documentation.
• Proficiency with documentation and diagramming tools, including experience creating architecture or system diagrams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools to manage and maintain documentation repositories.
• Ability to understand source code or technical logic is a plus.
• Prior experience working in legal or highly regulated environments is preferred.
