Technical Product Owner
Our client is seeking a Technical Product Owner to help drive the development and delivery of digital products by translating business needs into clear technical requirements. This individual will partner closely with engineering teams to define product features, document functional requirements, and guide development efforts from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, technically curious, and comfortable collaborating with developers while ensuring product goals remain aligned with user and business needs.

This role is fully onsite in Portland, Oregon.

Technical Product Owner Responsibilities

• Translate business objectives and product concepts into detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), user stories, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with a growing engineering team to clarify requirements, prioritize work, and support delivery of product features.
• Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, ensuring technical solutions align with product vision and user needs.
• Maintain and refine the product backlog, writing clear acceptance criteria and ensuring development teams have actionable tasks.
• Facilitate communication between product, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support product planning activities by mapping user flows, sketching feature concepts, and contributing to early-stage wireframing discussions when needed.

Technical Product Owner Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role.
• Demonstrated experience creating Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), user stories, and technical product documentation.
• Strong ability to gather requirements and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable development tasks.
• Experience working directly with software engineering teams in an Agile or iterative development environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with user flow mapping, whiteboarding concepts, or basic wireframing tools is a plus.

Compensation: $50-$63/hr. (DOE)
