Technical Apparel Designer
Our client is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Technical Apparel Designer to support seasonal product development initiatives within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone who listens well, takes direction with confidence, and proactively contributes to team goals while maintaining discretion and adaptability. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, creative curiosity, and the ability to work fluidly across cross-functional partners.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Technical Apparel Designer Responsibilities
- Support the research, ideation, and development of performance apparel products from concept through retail readiness.
- Collaborate closely with a small, agile team to translate creative vision into technically sound apparel solutions.
- Contribute to prototype development, material selection, and construction details aligned with performance and cost targets.
- Assist in innovation projects by partnering with product creation, manufacturing, and external vendors.
- Prepare and communicate design concepts, updates, and insights through presentations and internal documentation.
Technical Apparel Designer Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in a technical or product design role within apparel or a related industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keynote.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to take direction and adapt quickly in a team setting.
- Solid understanding of apparel construction, materials, and product development processes.
- Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality in a highly sensitive environment.
Compensation: Up to $40/hr. (DOE)
