Strategic Business Planner
Our client is seeking a Strategic Business Planner to support high-visibility strategic initiatives within a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This role will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape business direction, drive planning activities, and deliver clear executive-ready insights. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking, structured project leadership, and exceptional written communication skills.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Strategic Business Planner Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and forecasting efforts tied to complex, cross-functional business initiatives.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to translate business objectives into structured plans, priorities, and deliverables.
- Develop high-impact presentations and written materials that communicate strategic recommendations and progress.
- Drive alignment across teams by establishing timelines, tracking milestones, and ensuring accountability.
- Conduct business and market analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring strategic adjustment.
- Support the development of frameworks, playbooks, and planning tools that improve decision-making and operational clarity.
- Facilitate planning discussions, working sessions, and reviews with senior leadership.
- Provide flexible, ad hoc strategic and operational support as business needs evolve.
Strategic Business Planner Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, business strategy, or related functions.
- Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, business forecasting, and structured problem-solving.
- Proven project management capabilities with the ability to drive initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and presentation communication skills, particularly for executive audiences.
- Ability to quickly build credibility and effective working relationships.
- Comfort operating in environments with senior leadership visibility and evolving priorities.
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and bias for action.
- Prior experience in the apparel or consumer products industry preferred.
- Previous experience within large, highly matrixed organizations strongly valued.
Compensation: Up to $69.72/hr. (DOE)
