UAT Lead
Our client is seeking a business-focused UAT Lead to lead end user testing activities supporting critical enterprise and digital initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for guiding user acceptance testing strategy, coordinating cross-functional participation, and ensuring testing outcomes align with business needs and operational priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong UAT leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate requirements into effective test approaches.

This role is fully remote.

UAT Lead Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate end user testing efforts across multiple business functions and project workstreams.
  • Interpret business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive UAT strategies, scenarios, and test approaches.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and testing teams to define UAT scope, timelines, dependencies, and execution plans.
  • Facilitate UAT activities, ensuring proper test coverage and alignment with business workflows.
  • Prioritize, document, and manage defects based on business impact and release risk.
  • Track testing progress, risks, and issues while communicating clear status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Produce testing metrics, dashboards, and reporting artifacts using tools such as Smartsheet or similar platforms.
  • Coordinate test data preparation and validation to support realistic end user testing conditions.
  • Compile and maintain UAT documentation, results, and readiness materials.
  • Drive consistency and improvement of UAT processes, practices, and execution frameworks.
  • Support go-live and post-implementation validation activities as needed.

UAT Lead Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in user acceptance testing, business systems analysis, or business-driven quality functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end user testing or UAT efforts for complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong ability to interpret and translate both business and technical requirements into effective testing strategies.
  • Proven experience developing UAT approaches, test scenarios, and execution plans.
  • Experience working within healthcare, health insurance, or similarly regulated business environments.
  • Proficiency with Jira or comparable defect and work tracking tools.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing defects based on business impact and operational risk.
  • Ability to produce testing metrics, reporting, and clear status communications for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities across multiple teams, stakeholders, or functional areas.
  • Strong understanding of UAT lifecycle practices, validation processes, and business workflow testing.
  • Experience using Smartsheet or similar tools for coordination, tracking, and reporting preferred.
  • Comfort supporting data validation and test scenarios involving datasets or business process outcomes.
  • Ability to remain effective in fast-paced, evolving project environments while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience leveraging modern productivity tools or AI-enabled technologies is a plus.
