Senior Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that power advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives across a global enterprise environment. This individual will play a key role in building cloud-based applications, contributing to shared platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into high-impact technical solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong Python engineer with deep AWS experience and exceptional communication skills who thrives in a collaborative, product-driven setting.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade applications using Python, ensuring code is robust, extensible, and easy to maintain.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS), optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Build and enhance advanced analytics and machine learning platforms that support predictive modeling and optimization at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, architecture, and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to system design decisions, data modeling strategies, and overall software architecture best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative development processes, including code reviews and test-driven development.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Senior Software Engineer Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable Python code in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and modern cloud architecture patterns.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed system design principles.
• Experience working with databases and data processing technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Spark, or EMR.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with machine learning platforms or tools such as SageMaker or Databricks is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation: Up to $63.33/hr. (DOE)
