Senior Back-End Developer
Our client is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer who blends strong back-end engineering expertise with practical DevOps capabilities. This engagement supports an established digital platform and is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling evolving priorities, production support work, and rapid iteration cycles. The right individual is adaptable, collaborative, and confident working within an environment driven by ad hoc requests and continuous improvements.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Back-End Developer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end functionality supporting a CMS-driven web platform.
• Implement feature enhancements, performance improvements, and general system refinements.
• Diagnose and resolve application defects, bugs, and stability issues.
• Support deployment activities, release cycles, and production updates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to translate requests into technical solutions.
• Contribute to sprint planning, task estimation, and delivery alignment.
• Assist with ongoing platform maintenance, upgrades, and operational support.

Senior Back-End Developer Qualifications

• Proven experience in back-end software development within modern web environments.
• Hands-on experience working with Wagtail CMS or similar Python-based CMS frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python and related web technologies.
• Practical knowledge of deployment processes, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows.
• Experience troubleshooting live production systems and resolving issues efficiently.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, request-driven environments.
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.

Compensation: $55-$60/hr. (DOE)
