Senior Technical Designer – Apparel
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Designer to assist their performance-driven apparel team. This role is best suited for a seasoned technical expert who can quickly integrate, confidently lead fit and construction discussions, and manage complex styles in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate blends deep garment and pattern expertise with exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Technical Designer – Apparel Responsibilities
- Lead fit sessions, evaluate garment performance, and drive precise fit and construction decisions.
- Interpret design intent from flat sketches and translate concepts into accurate technical patterns and specifications.
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs using PLM / PCX or comparable systems.
- Analyze and correct patterns to ensure proper garment construction, measurements, and manufacturability.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and factory partners to support development and production readiness.
Senior Technical Designer – Apparel Qualifications
- 7–9+ years of experience in a traditional Technical Designer or equivalent role with demonstrated pattern expertise.
- Proven ability to build, modify, and correct technical apparel patterns based on design sketches.
- Strong proficiency with PLM / PCX or similar platforms for technical documentation and tech pack creation.
- Advanced knowledge of garment construction, with knits experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects while collaborating effectively across teams and partners.
Compensation: Up to $51.33/hr. (DOE)
