Senior CAD Specialist
Our client is seeking a Senior CAD Specialist to support facilities and manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving the accuracy of critical building and equipment drawings. This role is ideal for a highly organized and self-directed CAD professional who enjoys solving complex documentation challenges while collaborating with engineering and project teams. The successful candidate will bring strong AutoCAD expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage drawing updates, permitting documentation, and facility layout changes in a dynamic environment.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon with the possibility of occasional travel domestically.

Senior CAD Specialist Responsibilities

• Update, maintain, and improve existing AutoCAD drawings for multiple facilities, ensuring accuracy and consistency across current state documentation.
• Prepare and assemble permit drawing packages for submission to city and county agencies, ensuring required details and documentation are complete.
• Review and revise facility drawings to reflect equipment placement, electrical systems, plumbing layouts, and other infrastructure updates.
• Identify inconsistencies in legacy CAD files and standardize drawings using clear layering, naming conventions, and organized file structures.
• Partner with facilities project managers and engineering teams to develop layout concepts, update drawings tied to active projects, and provide CAD-related technical guidance.

Senior CAD Specialist Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience working with both 2D and 3D AutoCAD in facilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting facility drawings involving equipment layouts, electrical systems, and plumbing documentation.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple drawing updates and documentation priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe tools, and Bluebeam for documentation, markup, and collaboration.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, drafting/design, or a related discipline preferred; CAD certification or similar credential is a plus.

Compensation: Up to $55.63/hr. (DOE)
