Senior Assortment Planner
Our client is seeking a Senior Assortment Planner to support a global apparel planning organization focused on building strong product assortments and driving data-informed retail strategies. This role partners closely with merchandising, planning, and marketplace teams to develop forecasts, evaluate performance, and optimize product assortments that support sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with strong collaboration skills and brings experience working within a large, fast-paced apparel or retail environment.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Senior Assortment Planner Responsibilities

  • Develop style-level assortment and inventory plans that support seasonal strategies, long-range forecasts, and in-season performance optimization.
  • Build and maintain monthly and seasonal forecasts for sales, margin, and inventory using analytical tools and business insights.
  • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, marketplace planning, and regional teams to align product strategies and ensure assortment plans support broader business objectives.
  • Analyze product performance and marketplace trends, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending adjustments to improve results.
  • Deliver regular business recaps and reporting that translate complex data into clear insights to guide planning and assortment decisions.

Senior Assortment Planner Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in assortment planning, merchandise planning, demand planning, or a related retail planning function.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and present insights clearly.
  • Background working for a well-known apparel or retail brand with exposure to merchandise planning or assortment strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain, business, merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: Up to $47.89/hr. (DOE)
