Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer to drive fit excellence and technical execution across complex apparel styles. The ideal candidate is a confident self-leader who thrives in collaborative environments, communicates clearly across functions, and brings strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to product creation. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable working independently and partnering with cross-functional teams and factory stakeholders.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer Responsibilities
- Own fit and pattern development from concept through commercialization and production.
- Manipulate patterns, lead fit sessions, and communicate technical adjustments with factory partners.
- Create and maintain detailed product specifications, Tech Packs, and development documentation.
- Identify construction or manufacturability risks and drive solutions to support quality, timelines, and cost targets.
- Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, and product partners to ensure consistent fit and construction standards.
Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in technical design or pattern engineering within the apparel industry.
- Strong expertise in fit, pattern manipulation, garment construction, and graphics interpretation.
- Working knowledge of PLM systems and digital product creation tools (e.g., CLO 3D or similar).
- Proven ability to partner with factory vendors to improve product integrity and manufacturability.
- Degree in apparel design, textile science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Compensation: Up to $48/hr. (DOE)
