Senior Apparel Designer (Hybrid)
Our client is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented Senior Apparel Designer who thrives in a fast-paced, confidential product creation environment. This individual blends strong creative instincts with technical rigor, listens well, takes direction with agility, and proactively partners with cross-functional teammates to bring performance-driven concepts to life. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and comfortable owning work from early ideation through retail readiness while balancing innovation, timelines, and budgets.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Apparel Designer (Hybrid) Responsibilities
- Lead research and development efforts from concept ideation through prototype and retail execution.
- Generate innovative, performance-focused product ideas aligned with consumer, business, and brand needs.
- Develop and engineer prototypes, defining materials, construction methods, and testing protocols.
- Partner closely with a small, cross-functional team and external vendors to deliver seasonal product work.
- Communicate concepts, progress, and results clearly while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Senior Apparel Designer (Hybrid) Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of directly relevant experience in apparel or product design, with full lifecycle product development exposure.
- Advanced expertise in Adobe Illustrator, with strong working knowledge of Keynote and Photoshop.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, take direction, and adapt quickly within agile team environments.
- Deep understanding of apparel construction, material creation, and cost-conscious design within budget parameters.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Compensation: Up to $56.67/hr. (DOE)
