Revenue Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking a skilled Revenue Accounting Manager who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments and brings a blend of technical expertise, operational rigor, and strong cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate is detail-obsessed, systems-savvy, and confident navigating complex contracts while strengthening financial processes and controls. This role suits a proactive problem-solver who can balance precision with collaboration across multiple teams.

This role is fully remote. Candidates must be located on the West Coast.

Revenue Accounting Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the full revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with ASC 606.
  • Manage invoicing, customer billing, and deferred revenue in partnership with sales operations and accounting.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including revenue journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Drive improvements across revenue, billing, and AR processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate contracts, support audits, and assess revenue impacts.

Revenue Accounting Manager Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of revenue accounting experience in software environments with license and subscription models.
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 340, and U.S. GAAP revenue recognition standards.
  • Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel, G-Suite, Salesforce, and SAP S/4Hana.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Salary: $130K-$180K/year. (DOE)
