Our client is seeking a Retail Allocation Planner to support store-level inventory flow and ensure the right product reaches the right locations at the right time. This role focuses on executing allocation plans that maintain healthy inventory levels, maximize in-stock performance, and support business continuity across retail channels. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment while partnering cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, and operations teams.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Retail Allocation Planner Responsibilities

  • Execute store-level allocation plans that optimize product flow across locations to support revenue, margin, and inventory targets.
  • Monitor weekly sales, inventory, and performance trends, adjusting allocation quantities and replenishment strategies to address demand and minimize lost sales.
  • Develop load-in and replenishment plans at the style, color, and size level to support seasonal launches and ongoing product flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including merchandising, assortment planning, commercial planning, and operations teams to support coordinated product delivery across channels.
  • Maintain balanced inventory levels by monitoring key supply metrics such as weeks of supply and sell-through rates across locations.
  • Support execution for new store openings and major product initiatives by ensuring accurate allocation timing and inventory availability.
  • Partner with merchandise planning teams to identify opportunities for improved size curves and allocation strategies during pre-season planning.
  • Prepare and communicate allocation insights, recommendations, and performance updates to internal stakeholders.

Retail Allocation Planner Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in retail allocation, merchandise planning, inventory planning, or a similar role supporting store-level inventory management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with allocation or planning systems such as SAP, JDA/Just Enough, ToolsGroup, o9, or comparable retail platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets to inform inventory decisions.
  • Strong understanding of retail inventory concepts including allocation logic, replenishment strategies, sell-through analysis, and weeks of supply.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations and communicate insights to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or consumer products environment with competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Prior experience supporting large retail organizations or complex multi-store environments is preferred.
