Product Manager – AI/ML
Our client is seeking a Product Manager – AI/ML to define, build, and deliver next-generation conversational and business intelligence products powered by artificial intelligence. This role sits within a product and engineering organization and will play a key part in shaping governance, security, threat-modeling, and other enterprise-level AI use cases. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical depth, product leadership, and hands-on experience bringing AI solutions to market.
This role is remote. Candidates must be located in Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington Areas.
Product Manager – AI/ML Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI/ML products, ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational goals.
- Build, deliver, and ship AI-driven products, demonstrating a proven track record of launching solutions at scale.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and a well-prioritized product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
- Partner closely with engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to design and integrate AI/ML capabilities into core business processes.
- Conduct user research and analyze data, insights, and market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and product improvement.
- Demonstrate and articulate AI product capabilities, highlighting dependencies and integrations with broader platform solutions.
- Apply knowledge of emerging AI/ML technologies to enhance product performance and influence technical decisions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies to support effective planning, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate product success using metrics tied to adoption, performance, cost efficiency, and customer impact.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team alignment to keep products on track.
- Guide products through the full lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping through launch, optimization, and retirement.
- Communicate product strategies, technical concepts, and roadmaps clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Build strong partnerships across business and technical teams to maintain organizational alignment and momentum.
Product Manager – AI/ML Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Previous experience working within the client’s environment is required.
- Extensive experience building, delivering, and shipping AI-powered products.
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or similar role within data, analytics, or AI/ML product development.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks, pipelines, platforms, and model deployment or optimization.
- Participation in multiple full-cycle product or technology programs.
- Strong background working in matrixed organizations with broad stakeholder networks and cross-product dependencies.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Lucidchart.
- Ability to create clear documentation, product artifacts, and compelling narratives that communicate product value and influence decision-makers.
- Ability to produce lightweight code prototypes is a plus.
Compensation: Up to $60/hr. (DOE)
