Mid–Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Focus)
Our client is seeking a Mid–Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join a highly collaborative and tenured team environment. This role plays a critical part in building, optimizing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support modern web and application development. This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

Mid–Senior DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines within Azure to support efficient and reliable application delivery.
• Own and optimize Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline build, release, and testing processes.
• Monitor application and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Support and enhance automated testing and deployment workflows across environments.
• Help define and improve DevOps best practices, including infrastructure as code and release management processes.
• Manage and maintain development, staging, and production environments.
• Partner with engineering teams to align on architecture, deployment strategies, and operational improvements.
• Contribute to change management processes, including release scheduling and production readiness.
• Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve system efficiency.

Mid–Senior DevOps Engineer Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in a modern development environment.
• Solid programming or scripting experience (C#, .NET, Python, or similar), with willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience supporting web-based applications and modern development workflows.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking, system performance monitoring, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with source control systems and DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a team-first mindset and easygoing personality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on long-term success and continuous improvement.
