Merchandising Manager
Our client is seeking a Merchandising Manager to support a global football-focused business within a fast-paced consumer products environment. This role blends strategic thinking with analytical rigor to shape product assortments and merchandising plans across international markets. The ideal candidate brings strong cultural awareness of the global football landscape, sharp business acumen, and the ability to translate consumer and marketplace insights into impactful merchandising decisions.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Merchandising Manager Responsibilities
- Analyze marketplace performance, consumer insights, and retail data to guide merchandising strategies and seasonal product plans.
- Develop and influence product assortments that align with consumer demand across multiple international markets.
- Monitor and manage key merchandising performance indicators, including sales trends, inventory health, and product performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align product strategies and deliver cohesive market execution.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support consumer-focused merchandising decisions and long-term business growth.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure assortments meet consumer expectations while supporting broader commercial goals.
- Evaluate marketplace trends, cultural influences, and competitive dynamics within global football to identify new opportunities.
- Support the execution of merchandising strategies that balance consumer demand with business objectives across diverse regions.
Merchandising Manager Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, product management, planning, buying, or related retail disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of global football culture, including familiarity with major clubs, regional markets, and consumer behaviors tied to the sport.
- Proven ability to interpret business metrics and retail data to inform merchandising strategies and product decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a consumer products, retail, or wholesale environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect market insights to financial and operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and comfort working with data to drive decision-making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with merchandising systems or marketplace planning tools is a plus.
Compensation: Up to $43.33/hr. (DOE)
