Medical Review Support Analyst
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Review Support Analyst to support clinical review and audit processes within a healthcare operations environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring claims selected for review are accurately triaged, documented, and supported by the appropriate medical records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with healthcare documentation while collaborating across claims, provider relations, and network management teams.

This role is fully remote. Applicants who reside in Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho are preferred.

Medical Review Support Analyst Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage on claims selected for review to determine eligibility for clinical audit based on established criteria.
• Request, receive, and manage medical records from providers through multiple channels including electronic medical record systems, fax, mail, and secure uploads.
• Review claim history, authorizations, and related documentation to support audit preparation and clinical review processes.
• Maintain accurate records by updating department databases, documenting activities, and entering claim processing instructions in the claims system.
• Communicate with internal claims teams, provider offices, and network management regarding record requests, missing documentation, and claim review status.

Medical Review Support Analyst Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment such as medical office operations, billing, claims processing, or customer service; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Experience working with healthcare documentation including medical records, billing information, or claims data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear correspondence to providers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with medical terminology; familiarity with anatomy, coding concepts, or claims systems (such as Facets) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality and compliance standards.
