Mechanical Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of mechanical engineering, particularly in industrial settings. The role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, designers, and vendors to ensure efficient and effective design solutions for industrial projects.

This role is a hybrid model and is open to candidates in Portland, Oregon, Spokane or Kalama, Washington.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities

• Design and arrange industrial equipment layouts to optimize safety, operations, and maintenance accessibility.
• Develop process piping designs adhering to ASME B31.1 and B31.3 standards.
• Conduct pipe stress analysis to ensure structural integrity and reliability.
• Size and select pumps for diverse industrial applications.
• Design industrial machinery including conveyors, drivetrains, pneumatics, and hydraulics systems.
• Collaborate with clients and vendors to specify and select appropriate industrial equipment.
• Ensure compliance with standard safety practices and protocols for heavy industrial environments.
• Address design queries and resolve technical issues by working closely with stakeholders.
• Generate comprehensive construction plans and documentation for project implementation.
• Adaptability to work on a variety of projects across different industries.
• Contribute to the engineering and construction phases of industrial projects.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial projects engineering or construction.
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and drafting.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and standards related to piping and equipment design.
• Experience with pipe stress analysis software.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment selection and specification processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing project requirements and priorities.
