Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator
Our client is seeking a Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator to join their organization. The Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, quality of work, and project profitability. The Estimator/Project Manager will ensure project deliverables map to the business objectives, which requires the ability to maintain a broad vision, demonstrate strategic thinking, and exhibit leadership.

This role is fully onsite in Sandy, Oregon.

Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek bidding opportunities and maintain professional relationships to increase opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate job estimates and bids, including assembling takeoff reports and reviewing project requirements.
  • Input bid information into HCSS Estimating software and submit estimates for approval.
  • Respond promptly to client concerns or questions regarding estimates/bids.

Project Management:

  • Set up jobs for accounting and ensure completeness of project documents.
  • Procure necessary materials, permits, and equipment for projects.
  • Process time cards accurately and ensure compliance with laws.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects including budgeting, resource management, and quality control.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and specifications, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Handle change orders, progress billing requests, and lien notifications/filings.
  • Maintain regular communication with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide field support as needed and visit project locations to monitor progress.
  • Prepare and manage RFI's, ASI's, and project material submittals.

General/Personal Organization:

  • Maintain regular attendance and follow-through on commitments.
  • Maintain flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and personnel.
  • Exhibit effective time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Represent company values positively in all interactions.
  • Perform assigned duties within deadlines with minimal supervision.

Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator Qualifications

  • College Degree or Construction Management Degree.
  • 5 or more years of related experience.
  • OSHA certification and up-to-date knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Timberline, On Screen Take off, BlueBeam, Agtek, HCSS and Utility Notification Center.
  • Superior ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Superior Project management skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, squat, climb into trucks, walk, and work in office and outdoor environment.
  • Superior ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong knowledge of Oregon OSHA regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to make repetitive hand-movements on computer, such as typing.
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, as required.

Salary: $90K-$120K/year. (DOE)
