Manager Care Management RN
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic nursing leader to oversee care management operations within a large acute care hospital environment. This role is ideal for a clinically seasoned Registered Nurse who brings both frontline healthcare experience and the operational expertise needed to lead large clinical teams. The ideal candidate combines strong case management knowledge, effective leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and efficient care coordination.

This role is onsite in Everett, Washington.

Manager Care Management RN Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily care management operations within a large acute care hospital environment, including care coordination, utilization review, discharge planning, and patient flow activities.
  • Manage and mentor a large clinical team of approximately 65 caregivers, including two direct-report supervisors, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Ensure care management practices align with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals related to patient outcomes, resource utilization, and compliance.
  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, social services, and community resources to support safe care transitions and address barriers impacting patient care and discharge planning.
  • Address complex personnel and operational challenges by collaborating with Human Resources on coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Provide clinical guidance and operational leadership across case management functions, helping teams navigate complex care scenarios and high-volume hospital environments.
  • Support training, education, and professional development initiatives to elevate clinical competency and maintain best practices across the care management team.

Manager Care Management RN Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of case management or care management experience, ideally within an acute care hospital environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or people management experience, preferably overseeing large clinical teams in high-volume hospital systems.
  • Experience working within large hospital systems (300+ beds) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while managing operational priorities, patient advocacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong conflict resolution, coaching, and HR collaboration experience within complex healthcare environments.
  • Experience supporting clinical education, training, or adult learning initiatives within healthcare teams preferred.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Accredited Case Manager (ACM) preferred.

Salary: $141K-$223K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
