Lead Enterprise Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a Lead Enterprise Business Analyst to serve as a strategic partner across complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role is responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements while guiding enterprise analysis practices, mentoring analysts, and driving alignment between business and technology teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong enterprise mindset, deep requirements expertise, and proven leadership in large-scale programs.

Lead Enterprise Business Analyst Responsibilities

  • Lead the concept and discovery phases of large, complex initiatives by defining vision, scope, and high-level business and functional requirements.
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and manage requirements through structured techniques such as interviews, workshops, process modeling, use cases, and data analysis.
  • Translate business needs into clear, complete, and testable requirements, ensuring traceability, feasibility, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Decompose high-level requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications suitable for development, testing, and implementation teams.
  • Serve as an enterprise liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and unified outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to analysts and business subject matter experts to strengthen requirements practices and delivery quality.
  • Oversee requirements change management, ensuring controlled updates, impact analysis, and proper approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate effective communication across stakeholders, escalating risks, dependencies, and changes in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise analysis methodologies, tools, and team processes.
  • Support resource planning and coordination in partnership with project and program leadership, resolving conflicts as needed.

Lead Enterprise Business Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in business analysis, requirements management, or business process modeling within complex environments.
  • Demonstrated success supporting large-scale systems integration efforts and enterprise-level business process initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering methodologies, structured analysis techniques, and iterative delivery models.
  • Experience working within regulated or data-driven industries, such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
  • Proven ability to uncover underlying business needs, evaluate alternative solutions, and align outcomes with organizational objectives.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to engage senior leadership.
  • Experience with testing strategies, data management concepts, and requirements management tools.
  • Understanding of application architecture and business process design at an enterprise level.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring analysts and contributing to team development and delivery standards.
  • Familiarity with professional services or consulting environments is preferred.
  • General knowledge of healthcare business processes and systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work extended hours or outside standard business hours when required, including occasional evenings or weekends.
