Lead Channel Merchant
Our client is seeking a consumer-focused Lead Channel Merchant to serve as a critical connector between merchandising and sales. This individual will play a central role in shaping channel-level assortments and translating product strategies into clear, actionable go-to-market plans. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates complex ideas with ease, and operates confidently with autonomy and ambiguity.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Lead Channel Merchant Responsibilities
- Own and manage channel-level assortments, ensuring alignment between product strategies, marketplace dynamics, and commercial priorities.
- Partner closely with merchandising and sales teams to develop and present go-to-market strategies that drive clarity and execution.
- Translate business insights, consumer trends, and performance data into practical assortment and channel decisions.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations that simplify complex topics for diverse cross-functional audiences.
- Collaborate across planning, brand, and operational partners to ensure consistency and readiness across seasons.
- Support reporting, analysis, and business reviews to guide decision-making and identify opportunities.
- Operate independently while navigating shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
Lead Channel Merchant Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in channel merchandising, sales, or field retail planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within large, matrixed organizations.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Proven comfort working autonomously and making decisions in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
- Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, analysis, and data interpretation, strongly preferred.
- Experience with merchandising or assortment planning tools is highly desirable.
- Industry-relevant experience is a strong plus.
Compensation: Up to $32.67/hr. (DOE)
