JavaScript Developer
Our client is seeking a thoughtful and product-minded JavaScript Developer to support the evolution of a modern SaaS application. This role centers on building and enhancing browser-based functionality, with particular emphasis on Chrome Extensions and Outlook Add-Ons. The ideal candidate values long-term code ownership, communicates clearly, and is comfortable working within complex, evolving systems.

This role is fully remote.

JavaScript Developer Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Chrome Extensions and Outlook Add-Ons that integrate with a larger application ecosystem.
  • Take full ownership of features and code changes, including enhancements, refactoring, and ongoing support.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, offering practical input on architecture, maintainability, and performance.
  • Produce clear technical artifacts, including design notes, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across engineering, QA, and product stakeholders.
  • Work effectively within existing codebases, including those that contain technical debt or legacy patterns.
  • Support testing efforts by participating in validation, troubleshooting, and end-to-end verification activities.

JavaScript Developer Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience developing applications with JavaScript.
  • 8+ years of experience working across multiple frontend frameworks in production environments.
  • Demonstrated production experience with React, Redux, or comparable modern application frameworks.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for long-lived code and shared systems.
  • Experience maintaining and improving codebases that have accumulated technical debt.
  • Solid understanding of modern application architecture and frontend design patterns.
  • Experience working within Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience developing browser extensions or client-side platform integrations.
  • Familiarity with backend APIs or full-stack application environments.
  • Exposure to Microsoft ecosystem integrations or add-in development patterns.
  • Experience working in complex, high-scale SaaS environments.

Salary: $140K/year. (DOE)
