HR Administrative Assistant
Our client is seeking a reliable and people-focused HR Administrative Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong judgment, attention to detail, and a calm, professional presence while supporting critical HR and workforce operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and trusted to handle sensitive information with care.
The role is based on-site in Vancouver, Washington. Applicants should expect to split their time between Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon during the workweek.
HR Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to HR, Payroll, and Operations while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Serve as a front-line point of contact, professionally engaging employees, applicants, and partners via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain and update employee records, timekeeping data, and staffing documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Coordinate staffing, onboarding, and scheduling activities, ensuring timely communication and proper documentation.
- Support employees with timekeeping questions, attendance tracking, and general HR process guidance.
HR Administrative Assistant Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience; prior HR experience or strong interest in HR is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role, including front desk coverage and frequent communication.
- Proficiency with basic office systems; experience with HR, timekeeping, or data entry tools (Kronos/UKG preferred) is a plus.
Compensation: $23.25–$25/hr. (DOE)
