Footwear Merchandising Analyst
Our client is seeking a data-driven and product-focused Footwear Merchandising Analyst to support a global streetwear-focused footwear business. This individual will play a critical role in translating consumer insights and performance data into actionable merchandising strategies, helping shape both in-season optimization and future assortment planning. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and passionate about product, with a strong understanding of marketplace trends and high-demand product launches.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Footwear Merchandising Analyst Responsibilities
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, including POS performance, to inform assortment strategies, SKU productivity, and investment decisions.
- Conduct in-season business analysis and hindsight reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across product lines.
- Support future season planning by contributing to assortment mix, unit planning, and SKU-level investment strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and update seasonal assortment tools, ensuring data accuracy and alignment across global partners.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, planning, design, and marketing teams to align on consumer insights and marketplace strategies.
- Collaborate with regional (geo) merchandising teams to gather market-specific insights and incorporate them into global plans.
- Support the execution and maintenance of high-demand (“high heat”) product launches, including tracking performance and inventory flow.
- Assist with preparation of business reviews, presentations, and key deliverables for cross-functional and leadership audiences.
- Monitor marketplace trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform merchandising decisions.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements related to merchandising tools, reporting, and planning workflows.
Footwear Merchandising Analyst Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in merchandising, retail, product management, or a related field.
- Strong experience analyzing POS data, trends, and forecasts to drive business decisions.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, planning, and design teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of consumer trends and marketplace dynamics, ideally within footwear, apparel, or accessories.
- Experience supporting or executing product launches, with exposure to high-demand or limited-release products preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and data management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint or Keynote).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Compensation: Up to $32/hr. (DOE)
