Epic Professional Billing (PB) Application Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing (PB) Application Manager to provide both strategic leadership and hands-on support for the Epic Resolute PB application. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, optimization, and successful delivery of Professional Billing functionality while guiding a team of analysts and actively contributing to build, troubleshooting, and project execution. The ideal candidate brings deep PB expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to step into any area of the PB module as needed.

This role is fully remote.

Epic Professional Billing (PB) Application Manager Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the Epic Professional Billing application, ensuring consistent, reliable support and successful execution of implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Oversee, mentor, and support a team of PB analysts by setting priorities, reinforcing best practices, and ensuring work is completed according to established timelines and standards.
• Serve as a hands-on subject matter expert for Epic Resolute PB, performing configuration, troubleshooting, error resolution, and build work related to upgrades, projects, and operational support.
• Lead and contribute to large-scale initiatives, including the design, development, and deployment of new PB features and functionality, while aligning with organizational and governance standards.
• Partner closely with end users, operational stakeholders, and IT leadership to manage requests, translate business needs into system solutions, and ensure effective adoption of new functionality.
• Monitor day-to-day operations of the PB environment, proactively identifying issues, assessing impact, and driving problems through to resolution independently or collaboratively.
• Ensure clear, ongoing communication with customers, peers, and leadership by providing updates, feedback, and follow-through throughout the lifecycle of support requests and projects.
• Represent Information Systems in a professional and service-oriented manner, consistently delivering high-quality customer support and maintaining strong working relationships.

Epic Professional Billing (PB) Application Manager Qualifications

• Epic Professional Billing (PB) certification is required.
• Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of the Epic Resolute PB module, with the ability to independently support, configure, and build across all functional areas.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring analysts, including assigning work, guiding development, and motivating team members through effective leadership and example.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues, identify root causes, and determine practical solutions.
• Experience serving in a hands-on analyst capacity, including managing support tickets and completing build work for Epic upgrades and projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Solid understanding of healthcare business operations and how billing workflows translate into system design and support.
• High attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to monitor processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
